Terms & Puppy Policies

What to expect when you reserve and bring home one of our puppies.

Reserving Your Puppy

$500 deposit secures your pick order and is applied toward the puppy’s final price. Deposits are non-refundable if you choose not to proceed, but may be transferred to our next litter. If we are unable to provide you with the puppy you reserved, you may choose a full refund, another available puppy, or credit toward a future litter. Reservations are honored first-come, first-served by payment timestamp. Breeder reserves first pick. Full terms are set out in the Puppy Reservation and Deposit Agreement, which governs.

Paying for Your Puppy

There are two ways to handle the balance, and they work differently.

Paying us directly

You can pay the balance all at once, or in installments any time before pickup. Either way, the balance needs to be complete before your puppy goes home. Payment is made through our secure Stripe portal, which accepts credit and debit cards, Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, Cash App Pay, and Link.

Financing through Affirm, Klarna, or Afterpay

These are independent lenders offered at our Stripe checkout. If one of them approves you, they pay us and your puppy is considered paid in full on our end.

Your payment schedule is then with that lender, not with us. Approval, interest, fees, payment dates, and anything else about that plan are set by them under their own terms, and we are not a party to that agreement. If you have questions about a financing plan, they are the ones to ask.

What Comes With Your Puppy

Health Guarantee

We guarantee your puppy is in good health at the time of sale, with appropriate vaccinations and deworming.

You have two days from pickup to have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian. If a serious health issue is found, you may return the puppy for a full refund or an exchange, provided you give us a written statement from the veterinarian.

Going Home

Puppies are ready for pickup no earlier than eight weeks of age. We will confirm your pickup date with you.

If you cannot make the agreed date, please let us know in advance. Boarding past the pickup date is a courtesy and needs our approval. When boarding is approved:

  • •Day 1: $150, waived if you notify us at least four weeks in advance.
  • •Day 3: an additional $75.
  • •Day 4 and beyond: $25 per day.
  • •After 7 days: written arrangements may be required, and further fees for training, socialization, or veterinary care may apply.

Boarding fees are due at pickup along with any remaining balance. If a puppy is not picked up within 30 days of the agreed date with no other written arrangement, the purchase is considered abandoned.

Travel & Shipping

We are located near Tampa, Orlando, and Ocala, Florida, and safe transportation options are available throughout the continental US. We are happy to walk through the choices and find the best way to get your puppy home safely. If shipping is required, additional fees apply, are calculated separately, and are paid before shipment.

Spay, Neuter & Breeding

Puppies are placed on a non-breeding, pet only contract. We ask that your puppy be spayed or neutered no later than two and a half years of age, and we will send a reminder. Proof may be requested. Puppies may not be used for breeding without our written consent.

Our Puppies, For Life

We ask that our puppies be given a loving, safe home with proper nutrition, exercise, veterinary care, socialization, and training.

If your circumstances ever change, please talk to us before rehoming, reselling, or surrendering a puppy to a shelter. We stay a resource for the life of the dog, and we would rather help than have one of ours end up somewhere we cannot reach.

The Legal Part

Tampa Bay Doodles is a trade name of Harmony Oaks Homestead LLC, and these policies are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

This page is a plain-English summary for families considering a puppy. The signed Puppy Reservation and Deposit Agreement, and the Purchase Terms and Conditions signed before your puppy is released, are the documents that actually govern your purchase. Where anything here differs from those signed agreements, the signed agreements control.
